Facts
* I received my BA in Fine Arts from the University of Washington in Seattle. Although I have traveled extensively in the past and had the unique opportunity to have lived in a variety of countries, I have settled on the west coast of Norway with my Norwegian husband and 3 boys (oh, and a cat named Knut).
* I love things modern and shiny. I also like old, musty things and pieces that have faded over time. I get very excited when I score an old map or book at the second hand shop.
* I have a brand new studio in my home. This room is so fantastic that I never want to leave it. Just waiting for hubby to install a toilet, cot and refrigerator, then I won't ever have to.
* No project is to big nor to small.
* I have worked as a waitress, data entry clerk, accounting secretary, airline reservation agent, tour guide, salesman, tutor, domestic goddess, nanny, artist, web designer, graphic designer, as well as have worked on an assembly line and in an aerospace factory. I have never worked in a fast food restaurant. I am proud of that.
* I have had my work published in several books, magazines and zines. I think this is very cool.
* It has taken me 10 years to be able to use the title "artist" to describe myself. Although we are all artists in our own right, to label yourself as one has to be earned.
* I believe that art should be affordable for everyone.
* I have designed several websites, all that currently function the way they are supposed to. I take great pride in this, as I taught myself everything I know.
* I love shoes but seldom find ones that I like (or can afford).
* I feel that with every piece I create, I am that much closer to "the big one" (still not sure what that is, but I have a feeling it is something VERY important).
* My husband is the smartest and kindest man I know.
* I work a couple days a week at a clothing boutique just so I can talk to people. I don't really make any money though, it all goes in to my clothes budget. I have also created and run their online webstore. Have a look - www.noanoastavanger.com . You can buy something if you like.
